Role Overview
The company is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join its team. This role entails full project ownership and oversight—from budgeting through to delivery—ensuring high-quality results and a positive client experience throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end project leadership, collaborating closely with Superintendents and internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage project finances, including budget planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain and organize all contract documentation and ensure accuracy throughout the project.
- Develop and maintain project construction schedules in partnership with the Superintendent and subcontractors.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the final project budget and subcontract approvals.
- Oversee submittals and schedule coordination meetings with clients and subcontractors.
- Resolve project-specific challenges and maintain detailed documentation.
- Support site-specific safety plans and quality control procedures.
- Lead the subcontractor Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
- Manage owner and subcontractor change orders and budget revisions.
- Prepare monthly client invoices and payment applications.
- Oversee all close-out activities and ensure thorough project completion.
- Mentor and guide a small project team, fostering a collaborative and values-driven environment.
- Champion workplace safety practices and participate actively in the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in general contracting or construction project management.
- Strong background in construction estimating, scheduling, project finance, document control, and field operations.
- Familiarity with green building and LEED certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., scheduling tools, Bluebeam, CMiC, Textura) is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience managing direct reports is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel periodically as needed.
