Sr Marketing Automation Manager
The Sage Group’s client, an American construction management Saas company is looking for a highly-talented Sr Marketing Automation Manager to lead their global Marketing Automation team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for collaborating with a decentralized global production team with the goal of delivering best-in-class email marketing campaigns. We’re looking for a seasoned, detail-oriented, Marketo Certified Expert, process innovator, and operational leader who will roll up their sleeves to achieve consistent and measurable impact. You’ll own, maintain, and scale our client’s marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Demandbase, and Braze), including audience segmentation, data cleansing, privacy and compliance, and system optimization.
As a Sr Marketing Automation Manager, you’ll partner closely with global stakeholders in Campaign Management, Field Marketing, Customer Lifecycle Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Brand to maximize campaign effectiveness, deliver high-quality leads and generate pipeline to sales partners. You’ll use your analytical skills to define operational processes and implement technical solutions in Marketo, Demandbase, and Braze to support the pipeline goals of the marketing department. To be successful in this role, you will need to think people-first (internal stakeholders, external customers, and your team), be a strong communicator who champions collaboration and quality at scale, and have an eye towards marketing automation and process innovation—always striving to improve what and how great work gets done. This position reports to the VP, Digital Marketing, and can be based remotely in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a distributed team of marketing automation experts (FTE and contract). Oversee the team to execute on all global email campaigns, nurture programs, and Account-Based Marketing initiatives in Marketo, Demandbase, and Braze, including audience segmentation, testing, deployment, and continuous optimization.
- Build and maintain marketing automation workflows, data integrations, and reporting structures that align with business objectives. Manage our marketing databases, ensuring data hygiene, compliance measures, accurate tagging, and troubleshooting any data issues between Marketo, Demandbase, Braze, and other MarTech systems.
- Gather and communicate comprehensive reporting on marketing campaigns, covering metrics from webinars, events, advertising, email, and web traffic performance to make data-driven decisions on marketing campaign strategies.
- Own the Automation production process, including managing team schedules, capacity plans, efficiency, and operational reporting to drive continuous innovation. Streamline the current campaign execution process and solve end-user pain points.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business, or comparable work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a Marketing Automation or Marketing Operations role, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment with a proven track record of developing strategies that drive results
- Expert-level experience in Marketo, including familiarity with system administration and managing system integrations. Marketo Certified Expert certification preferred.
- Expert-level experience managing an ABM orchestration platform, such as Demandbase or 6Sense.
- Experience with reporting on email campaign and program performance and providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- A true self-starter, results-driven with a focus on measurable impact; must prioritize impact over activity and be comfortable being proactive and autonomous in all facets of the role. Strategic and operational thinker with a business-first mindset, able to balance long-term vision with tactical execution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
- Comfortable with editing and optimizing HTML/CSS for email templates.
