One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Marketing Operations Manager generalist from enterprise B2B SaaS/tech. The client is a leading vendor in the agile software development and IT space.
Your role will be as a Marketing Operations Manager (generalist) with a focus on Marketo. This work will include prioritizing and working through incoming tickets, building out Marketo programs, gathering requirements from stakeholders, and configuring Marketo nurture and drip campaigns. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be comfortable co-leading initiatives with other team members. We’re looking for someone who loves the science of marketing operations and enjoys building, implementing, and measuring new systems, processes, and campaigns. We are a lean team that is the hub in the hub and spoke model. We support hundreds of stakeholders across multiple organizations.
Expectations for this role:
- Partner with stakeholders to execute day-to-day campaign operations.
- High level of curiosity and attention to detail.
- Comfortable giving strategic advice to stakeholders and pushing back when called for.
- Tackle basic platform operations tasks in Marketo while optimizing for scale and efficiency.
- Partner with our offshore campaign ops agency to QA their work.
- Execute and optimize effective drip campaigns, lead nurturing programs, A/B testing, list building, etc. in Marketo.
- Proactively govern data quality for all programs/campaigns.
- Assist with program conceptualization, program execution, and success measurement.
- Establish, maintain, and optimize scalable marketing processes for campaign management and success measurement.
- Develop and maintain clear, detailed documentation of processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure consistency and enablement of cross-functional teams
- Play an integral role in supporting the globalization of campaigns.
- Be a data steward by assisting in ensuring list uploads are clean, and always looking out for data hygiene issues across the platforms we manage and support.
- Find new and innovative methods for streamlining existing workflows and processes (e.g. by using Agentic AI).
- Ability to clearly communicate with third-party vendors.
Required levels of experience:
- 8+ years of experience in large global enterprise B2B SaaS marketing automation and operations.
- Extensive experience in an enterprise Marketo instance with troubleshooting stakeholder requests, building nurture campaigns, and reporting. Must be strong with Marketo to understand the large complex custom tech stack
- Current Marketo Certified Expert preferred.
- Intermediate experience with Salesforce reporting with a general understanding of the Salesforce CRM architecture and how it is used by sales and marketing.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence a plus
- Must have strong stakeholder communication skills, to be able to talk tech in a simple way cross functionally and up and down
- Strong with time management and prioritization
- Proven experience translating complex technical requirements up to managers, and across to technical resources.
- A self starter with exceptional time management skills who is comfortable juggling and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
Duration: 6-18 months to start, plus contract to hire potential
Location: 100% remote in USA
Compensation: $70-90hr
