One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Marketing Analyst strong with SQL and experienced with marketing stakeholders in the B2B SaaS/tech domain. The client is a leading vendor in the agile software development and IT space.
Client is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join a Marketing Operations team. In this role, you’ll be at the center of how we build, test, and deliver precise customer segments for our marketing campaigns. You'll partner closely with GTM stakeholders, MarTech, Data Engineering, and Product teams to ensure audience builds are high-quality, compliant, and aligned to strategic goals.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys quality assurance, thrives in cross-functional environments, and understands the complexities of customer data. You’ll help drive the end-to-end process of campaign audience delivery from intake and data validation to QA, stakeholder alignment, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with GTM stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into audience specifications for product marketing, feature release announcements, event campaigns and tech alerts.
- Build and QA complex audiences using both SQL and ActionIQ (client’s CDP), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity across platforms.
- Own and evolve QA processes to validate customer segmentation logic, campaign counts, and data sources prior to launch.
- Identify and document gaps in our database and implement recommended fixes with Data Engineering to improve org-wide data hygiene
- Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, keeping stakeholders informed through project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign delivery processes through automation, documentation, and tooling improvements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to influence and execute strategy decisions for critical company messaging.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years experience as a marketing analyst
- Proficient in SQL with experience working with customer data in relational databases.
- Familiarity with customer experience/CDPs tools like ActionIQ (e.g., ActionIQ, Segment, Salesforce CDP) is a plus
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, is a plus
- Experience with SFDC, Marketo or similar platforms a plus
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams/stakeholders and translating campaign needs into technical specs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
- Experience in marketing personalization or experimentation (e.g., A/B testing, audience overlap analysis).
- Exposure to data QA tools or campaign management platforms.
Duration: 1-2 years with potential contract to hire
Location: 100% remote in USA
Compensation: $50hr -60hr
