Senior Marketing Manager
Location: Remote | Type: Full-Time | Salary: $80,000 - $85,000
About The Proxy Agency
The Proxy Agency is a full-funnel marketing agency that drives revenue for B2B companies in the legal, financial, and professional services industries. We work with some of the most innovative companies building the future of how law firms, workplaces, and financial services firms operate. Our clients aren’t looking for generic marketing; they need partners who understand complex sales cycles, sophisticated buyer personas (think CFOs, COOs, and CIOs), and how to turn marketing into pipeline.
We’re a small, senior team that punches well above our weight. No endless approval chains. No marketing by committee. Just smart people doing meaningful work for clients who genuinely value what we bring to the table.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to own 3-5 client accounts from strategy through daily delivery. This role spans the full spectrum — from developing annual marketing plans to writing the LinkedIn posts that bring them to life. You’ll be both strategist and doer, and on a team this size the balance runs about two thirds making the work and one third running the relationship.
Your clients will have real metrics they care about: demos booked, MRR, pipeline generated, deals influenced. You’ll develop marketing plans, write and ship the campaigns behind them, manage conference presence, orchestrate thought leadership programs, and track attribution with precision. When the CEO asks "what did marketing do for us this quarter?" — you’ll have the answer.
This is a role for someone who sees what needs to happen and does it. If something’s slipping, you flag it before anyone asks. We’re a small team and there’s no one looking over your shoulder — that’s a feature, not a bug.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Own strategy and communications for 3-5 client accounts — you’re their fractional marketing lead, responsible for what gets done and why
• Write the work — blog posts, bylined articles, case studies, web copy, email sequences, and the LinkedIn content that carries a client’s point of view
• Build the campaigns yourself in HubSpot — sequences, landing pages, sends, and the reporting behind them
• Build and present annual marketing plans with clear goals, budgets, and attribution models that tie directly to pipeline and revenue
• Decide where to place bets across channels — paid, organic, events, thought leadership — and adjust based on what’s working
• Translate client business goals into marketing priorities and hold yourself accountable to results
• Produce conference activations and client events, from planning through the week on site
• Live in Asana — every task documented, every deadline tracked, nothing falling through the cracks
• Track performance and own the narrative — when leadership asks what marketing delivered, you have the answer.
Who You Are
• 4-7 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in legal technology, professional services, or enterprise SaaS
• Experience in legal tech, legal services, or professional services marketing is strongly preferred — our clients sell to law firms and professional services organizations, and speaking that language matters
• You’ve managed client relationships before, either agency-side or as an in-house marketing lead working with internal stakeholders
• You write well and you write fast. This is the skill that matters most here, and most weeks it is the majority of the job.
• Hands on with HubSpot (or a similar CRM and marketing automation platform), Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Asana. You build the campaigns yourself.
• Comfortable with data: you can pull reports, spot trends, and translate metrics into strategic recommendations
• Highly organized — you’ll be juggling multiple accounts with competing priorities and tight deadlines
