Senior Content Designer.
Duration: 12 months Contract to start (potential to extend / convert)
Location: Remote
Pay $55 -$70 per hour (W2 and benefit options)
The Planet Group is seeking an experienced Senior Content Designer to support one of our leading global technology clients. As a Senior Content Designer, you will advocate for exceptional user experiences by shaping product interactions through clear, meaningful, and effective content. You will help users accomplish tasks by crafting intuitive product copy and communications across tools and platforms. This role plays a key part in defining product narratives and ensuring language enhances usability, clarity, and engagement.
You are a strategic thinker who understands how content design influences product vision across multiple platforms. You also bring a strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to simplify complex concepts and improve user experiences through thoughtful writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead content strategy and define content standards for Measurement, Conversions, and AI products, demonstrating the full value of advertising solutions.
- Ensure clarity and consistency in guiding advertisers to establish high-quality measurement setups that support campaign optimization strategies.
- Drive innovation by developing and iterating on AI-driven business products that provide personalized measurement guidance and transform performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Leverage AI to scale and enhance content design quality by partnering with engineering and data teams to build efficient AI-powered processes.
Craft, write, edit, test, and improve product content to make tools easier to use, including:
- Product flows
- UI language
- In-product education
- Terminology and definitions
- Information architecture (IA)
- Product naming
- Navigation design
- Use empathy, logic, and data to inform content decisions, conducting audits, identifying patterns, and leading brainstorming sessions to design effective content experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, product managers, product designers, engineers, product marketing, and business stakeholders to ensure a cohesive voice and conversational language across products.
- Develop deep expertise in the product and user base. Partner with UX research teams to understand user needs and bring authentic user insights into product development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in user-focused product writing.
- Experience working in software, hardware, digital agencies, or other product-focused environments, preferably writing for a business audience.
- Experience designing content for enterprise advertising platforms, agency tools, shopping tools, or third-party integrations.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX writing, storytelling ability, and creative content design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Screenwriting, English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent practical experience.
