Bioinformatics Software Engineer – (Contract) – Remote CT hours

Leading Biotech organization seeks a Contract Bioinformatics Software Engineer for a remote position working Central Time hours. This requires 5+ years programming in Java application development, along with 3+ years hands-on AWS cloud expertise. An understanding of LabVantage LIMS would be ideal. Additionally, this person must have regulatory industry experience in biotech, pharma, or diagnostics. This role affords the opportunity to learn more regarding a niche system LabVantage LIMS, and a 6-month remote contract with potential extensions based on work performance.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in life/computer science or similar area.
• 5+ years hands-on development expertise in Java applications.
• 3+ years hands-on development experience in AWS Cloud Platform.
• Prior experience working within regulatory environments like Pharma, Biotech, and Diagnostics.
• Prior experience in LabVantage LIMS is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on Java backend development in support of the design, development, integration, and maintenance of LabVantage LIMS applications and its deployment into the AWS cloud environment.
• Ensure all work performed is delivered in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Performing all tasks associated with AWS engineering.
