Project Overview
Our client is undertaking a major implementation and customization of its Transportation Management System (TMS) to enhance and optimize outbound logistics operations. The project will leverage the Manhattan TMS platform to support a complex distribution model, which includes deliveries to 31 distribution centers, retail stores, and unique “relay” transfer points used to maximize shipping efficiency. In addition, the program consists of enhancements to the already in-place Inbound systems, business reporting, Proof of Delivery and other key initiatives under the TMS Program.
This initiative requires a seasoned Senior Project Manager / Program Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation, customization, and rollout of the outbound logistics system and additional sub-projects.

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the successful delivery of a Manhattan TMS project. This individual will work closely with internal business stakeholders, IT teams, and Manhattan product/implementation resources to ensure that system requirements, configurations, and integrations unique supply chain and transportation department needs.
The role requires a strong background in supply chain systems, enterprise software implementations, and cross-functional project leadership within complex logistics environments.
Key Responsibilities'
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the TMS and customization program, from requirements gathering through deployment and stabilization
- Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and Manhattan Associates implementation teams
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate requirements gathering sessions focused on outbound shipping, routing, carrier management, and transfer logistics
- Work with the team translating unique operational processes (DC deliveries, store deliveries, and relay transfers) into system requirements and functional designs
- Manage scope, risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple internal and external teams
- Drive project governance, including status reporting, executive updates, and steering committee communications
- Ensure alignment between business needs and Manhattan TMS capabilities/configurations
- Oversee testing strategy including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live readiness
- Partner with change management and training teams to support business adoption
- Track milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Facilitate vendor management activities and hold partners accountable to contractual commitments
- Work with teams on specifications and delivery of inbound enhancements, Proof of Delivery, and recreating legacy reports..
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise software implementations
- Proven experience managing Transportation Management System (TMS) or large-scale supply chain system projects
- Strong understanding of outbound logistics, distribution, and transportation operations
- Experience working with Manhattan Associates TMS (highly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-workstream projects with cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing third-party implementation partners and vendors
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Tempo, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office products, etc.)
