Marketing Director and Graphic Designer
Job type: Remote, Part-Time *With the potential to develop into a full-time position
Reports to: Managing Partner
Location: Remote, some travel may be required
Salary: Prorated from a full-time equivalent range of $90,000–$130,000, based on experience.
Benefits: Paid vacation is prorated based on the employee’s average weekly hours relative to a 40-hour work week. Full-time employees receive 4 weeks of paid vacation, in addition to federal holidays and 5 flexible use days.

Position Description
The Marketing Director and Graphic Designer will lead The Learning Agenda’s visual storytelling, brand evolution, client work products, and marketing strategy. This part-time role will play a key part in refreshing our brand presence across platforms, including digital collateral, publications, and our website. Ideal candidates are experienced designers with a collaborative and strategic mindset, who can distill complex ideas into compelling and digestible visuals for diverse audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Branding & Design
- Create and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistent visual identity across platforms and projects
- Design collateral for print and digital use, including logos, publications, toolkits, infographics, templates, and slide decks
- In collaboration with project teams, design products for clients using client branding and design guidelines
- Work closely with TLA partners and project teams to elevate the visual storytelling of our client work and sophistication of our internal management tools
Website Design & Management
- Lead the organization’s website refresh, including review and selection of new website platform with TLA partners, evaluating capabilities, cost, technical requirements, and feasibility
- Lead the build out of the site within a no-code platform
- Update and maintain content, driving the process with TLA partners and staff to develop and finalize new content
- Ensure the site is user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with TLA’s brand and messaging strategy
Marketing & Communications
- Support the development of a lightweight marketing strategy to increase TLA’s visibility and reach
- Provide design support for proposals, presentations, and events
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a professional graphic designer and marketing professional, including managing social media, strategic campaigns, as well as designing logos, publications, templates, tools, and products.
- Knowledge and familiarity with ADA and 508 compliance
- Experience implementing user experience design (UX) principles and designing/managing processes
- Ability to apply adult learning research and principles into design experience and guidance to consultant teams
- Experience building and managing websites through no-code platforms
- Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in Google Documents and Sheets, Microsoft Office, design software, and experience with project management systems and tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with hybrid teams of employees and consultants across several time zones
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with mission-driven organizations, government, and philanthropy
- Understanding of the various systems that impact youth, families, and communities
- Familiarity with or interest in learning about consulting operations, youth development, education, and out-of-school time programs
