Overview
The role of Manager, Global eCommerce Conversion Optimization (Shopify) requires a data-driven and results-oriented Manager with expertise in Shopify to lead the optimization of our digital customer experiences across all markets. This role will drive website performance and conversion improvements while managing a global team that supports regional eCommerce needs. The position oversees UI/UX design, web content planning, and website app management resources, ensuring alignment with global and regional priorities to deliver exceptional customer journeys.
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop and implement a global CRO strategy to optimize Shopify websites across all regions, tailoring initiatives to the unique needs of local market campaigns.
- Identify and prioritize conversion opportunities for different countries, ensuring scalability and consistency while addressing regional nuances.
- Oversee the optimization of key customer journey touchpoints, including landing pages, product pages, and checkout flows, to drive conversion rates globally.
- Utilize A/B and multivariate testing to validate design and functionality improvements, sharing insights across regions to maximize impact.
Shopify Website Planning, Content Strategy, and App Integration
- Own the content planning process for global and regional Shopify websites, ensuring consistent brand messaging, SEO-friendly seasonal content, and alignment with marketing campaigns.
- Manage web content updates to ensure product pages, landing pages, and promotional content are optimized for engagement and conversion.
- Oversee the integration and optimization of third-party apps for content-driven engagement tools, such as reviews, rewards, referral, and loyalty programs across multiple markets.
- Work with creative and regional teams to ensure site content reflects localized campaigns, languages, and product offerings.
- Monitor site performance globally and address technical and content-related issues to maintain a high-quality user experience.
Global Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a global team of three, including:
- UI/UX Designer: Focused on designing intuitive and visually appealing website experiences tailored to global audiences.
- Authoring: Responsible for uploading and managing content into regional Shopify websites.
- Authoring & App: Focused on reviews, rewards, referral, and loyalty programs, ensuring consistent performance and engagement across all countries.
- Set clear goals for team members that align with both global and regional business objectives, providing regular feedback and professional development opportunities.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work closely with regional eCommerce, Marketing, IT, and Creative teams to align global CRO initiatives with local market needs and campaigns.
- Partner with CRM and Paid Media teams to optimize landing pages and site experiences for regional traffic sources, including email and paid campaigns.
- Act as a key liaison between global and regional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on Shopify platform updates, app integrations, and performance metrics.
Data-Driven Insights and Reporting
- Leverage tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Shopify analytics to analyze global customer behavior and conversion performance.
- Create global dashboards to track and compare CRO performance across regions, providing actionable insights to leadership and regional teams.
- Share best practices and learnings across countries to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- Proven experience in an eCommerce role with a focus on Shopify, CRO, and global website management.
- Expertise in managing website optimizations and third-party apps (e.g., reviews, rewards, referral, loyalty) across multiple countries.
- Leadership skills with a track record of managing global teams and fostering collaboration across regions.
- Advanced knowledge of UI/UX principles and design practices for international audiences.
- Technical proficiency in Shopify themes and integrations; HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar, with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working in cross-functional, multinational teams.
- Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize initiatives, and balance global consistency with regional customization.
