Senior Data Scientist
Overview The Senior Data Scientist provides advanced analytical support to business partners, transforming data into insights that drive product, service, and operational improvements. This role collaborates with leadership to analyze trends, predict future patterns, and develop data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities
Lead data strategy and develop scalable data science pipelines.
Architect analytics frameworks for operationalized models.
Apply machine learning techniques to forecast trends and optimize personalization.
Establish best practices for analytics across the organization.
Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and analysts to design experiments.
Develop executive-level data visualizations and actionable insights.
Mentor junior analysts on technical problem-solving.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience in data analysis and management.
5+ years of experience in data engineering (ELT/ETL tools like dbt, Fivetran, Matillion).
Expertise in modern data architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).
5+ years of Python or R programming.
5+ years working with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
Strong data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Proficiency in data warehousing, SQL programming, and statistical modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
IBM Data Science Professional Certificate.
Datacamp Analyst Certification.
Microsoft Data Analyst Associate Certification.
SQL Certification.
Graduate work in finance, business intelligence, or data analytics.
