Job Title: Product Designer – Native Mobile
Job Type: 6 Month W2 Contract

Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Designer with deep native mobile app experience to support and evolve a participant‑facing mobile experience within a financial services environment. You will partner closely with a senior strategy lead, a web product team, and fellow designers to expand and elevate the native mobile experience—especially for a mobile landing page initiative connected to an existing web dashboard. This role blends hands‑on execution with strategic leadership, including helping guide other designers transitioning from web to native mobile.
This is a highly visible opportunity requiring strong product thinking, mobile design systems experience, and confidence operating independently after transition.
Responsibilities
- Lead native mobile product design strategy and execution for participant‑facing experiences across iOS and Android
- Design and deliver a native mobile landing page experience, aligned with a web-based dashboard while optimizing for mobile-specific behaviors
- Collaborate with a senior product strategy lead to translate product vision into high-quality mobile UX/UI solutions
- Execute end‑to‑end design work, including user flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity designs, and design specifications for engineering
- Contribute to and evolve the native mobile design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and platform best practices
- Partner with engineering and product management to balance usability, feasibility, and business goals
- Shepherd and mentor web designers as they extend work into native mobile environments, providing guidance on mobile‑first and platform‑specific design patterns
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience, with extensive native mobile app design expertise
- Proven experience designing production iOS and Android applications
- Strong background in financial services mobile products (retirement, investments preferred; banking experience acceptable)
- Demonstrated success designing complex user experiences for regulated or data‑heavy products
- Experience working with or contributing to mobile design systems
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across product, engineering, and strategy teams
- Comfort operating independently and owning both strategy and execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing participant or consumer-facing retirement or investment platforms
- Exposure to mobile products at companies such as Fidelity, Chase, or similar financial institutions
- Prior experience supporting or leading designers transitioning from web to native mobile
- Familiarity with mobile accessibility and platform guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design)
