As the Marketing & Communications Manager, your role would be the epicenter of marketing activity within the company. Working closely with the CMO, you would be responsible for executing the marketing strategy outlined by executive leadership.
This is not a passive role. You are expected to live within the company—building relationships across global offices, understanding our culture, and identifying the moments and people that make us distinct. From promoting our cutting-edge projects to amplifying our internal culture and senior talent, your role is to make sure we stay top of mind with clients, prospective talent, and the broader industry.
You will help envision and execute a multi-tiered brand strategy, lead external communications, and serve as the connective tissue between internal wins and external visibility. You’ll partner with the CMO and collaborate with leadership and department heads—while driving initiatives independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Narrative Activation & Brand Communication
- Translate successful completion of high profile projects and partnership, new technical capabilities, and emerging creative talent into compelling stories for clients, industry, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and execute a rolling 12-month content calendar across social, website, newsletters, case studies, award submissions, and speaking engagements.
- Promote our expansion into new markets (e.g., immersive, experiential) through targeted content and campaigns.
- Amplify the brand presence of senior client-facing leadership and top talent through thought leadership, case studies, and curated storytelling opportunities.
- Maintain a high standard of creative output—collaborating with the CMO on reels and visual storytelling, and partnering with the Executive Creative Director and internal vfx supervisors to develop high-impact content.
- Be hands-on and resourceful in producing and coordinating content, whether working independently, internally, or with external creators and agencies.
Internal Engagement & Culture Amplification
- Build close relationships with Heads of Studio, Executive Producers, and Department Leads across offices to surface and promote wins, milestones, and talent achievements.
- Create internal content that celebrates our people, values, and culture—used for recruiting, retention, and all-hands meetings.
Campaign Management & Demand Generation
- Plan and manage quarterly campaigns (social, email, earned media) tied to major launches, events, or vertical-specific strategies.
- Develop and update sales enablement materials (decks, one-sheets, case studies) in partnership with the sales and leadership teams.
- Track and optimize campaign performance, tying efforts to lead generation and sales support.
PR, Awards, and Thought Leadership
- Act as day-to-day contact for the PR agency; oversee press releases, speaking abstracts, and award submissions (VES, Emmy, SIGGRAPH, etc.).
- Identify opportunities for our executives and creative leaders to speak at key industry events or be profiled in relevant publications.
Data, Budget & Vendor Management
- Own the marketing dashboard: track KPIs and report insights to the CMO and executive team.
- Oversee the marketing budget; engage and manage external vendors and freelancers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience in media, tech, or creative industries. VFX/Gaming/Animation experience is a major plus.
- Exceptional storytelling and copywriting skills—able to distill complex technical work into compelling, accessible narratives.
- Demonstrated experience in turning brand stories into tangible pipeline growth and industry visibility.
- Experience managing PR workflows and award submissions.
- Highly self-motivated, accountable, and energized by autonomy.
- Adept at working across departments and geographies with a clear sense of initiative.
- Comfortable engaging with executives and senior creatives.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- You understand how to market a company from the inside out—listening deeply, asking the right questions, and crafting narratives that make people care.
- You know that marketing is not just about visibility, but about supporting revenue, shaping perception, and driving momentum.
- You thrive in environments where things are moving quickly and direction isn’t always linear.
- You are an idea factory. You realize not all ideas are good ones, and your team’s feedback will be the quality control to sift out the best ideas.
- You give a damn—about people, about the work, and about doing it well.
