Our dream at HEINEKEN is to help our customers grow by serving them better, faster, and smarter with digital solutions. The last few years have seen a significant increase in the importance of digital solutions in the Commerce area at Heineken. These IT solutions have become a vital component in supporting the company's revenue. To ensure that this trend is supported and the IT in this area continues to grow, the new Commerce DevOps Hub is being established. The newly created organization, being an integral part of the Global Digital & Technology Function, is tasked with maintaining, but most importantly developing (functionally and technologically) IT solutions supporting the Commerce area at Heineken. Commerce DevOps Hub is located in Kraków and will include highly qualified IT professionals with direct contribution to both the technological development of the Heineken Commerce and the Hub itself.

As the QA Engineer, you will be part of the development team responsible for testing in-house products in eazle (our e-Commerce platform). Collaborating closely with Product Owner(s), Product Architect(s) and other software engineering teams you will need to understand the business needs, helping Product Architect(s) to convert those needs into testing specifications and services in line with overall engineering standards and roadmaps. Driving excellence in engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle in our Commerce IT landscape, will be important element of your role.

The role reports directly to the Software Development Lead.

Your Responsibilities Would Include

  • developing test cases, test plans, and test strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • executing manual and automated tests on agreed acceptance criteria across various platforms, browsers, and devices to validate software functionality, usability, and performance. Identify, prioritize, and report defects, working closely with Software Development Engineers (SDE) to resolve issues
  • developing and maintaining automated test scripts using scripting languages or test automation frameworks. Continuously enhance automation infrastructure, test frameworks, and test suites to improve test efficiency and effectiveness
  • conducting regression testing to ensure software changes do not introduce new defects or regressions. Develop and maintain regression test suites to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • collaborating with Product Managers, SDEs, Designers, and other stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of quality goals, requirements, and priorities. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint reviews.

You Are a Good Candidate If You Have

  • 5+ years of working experience in the similar position
  • strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • experience with manual testing techniques, test case design, and test execution
  • proficiency in programming language for test automation
  • experience with test automation tools
  • pragmatic, and collaborative team player.

Technology Stack

Mandatory to know:

  • proficiency in testing React Native applications with offline functionality
  • experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as Next.js, React Native, and Node.js
  • familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, including Detox, Cypress, JMeter, and BrowserStack
  • strong understanding of offline storage solutions like AsyncStorage, Realm or WatermelonDB
  • experience with Contentful for CMS-driven applications and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
