Full-Time Graphic Designer – Website, Branding & Packaging

The Healing Order and Classical Pearls are small, family-owned and operated businesses with 30+ years of history in holistic wellness and Chinese herbal medicine. We are now undergoing substantial expansion—growing our services, product offerings, and online presence.
To support this growth, we are seeking a visionary Graphic Designer to lead the redesign and ongoing development of our three websites:
TheHealingOrder.com – Holistic retreats, out-patient wellness services, and integrative health solutions.
ClassicalPearls.com – Chinese herbal medicine products for B2B and D2C consumers.
ClassicalChineseMedicine.org – Educational resources and community engagement in Classical Chinese Medicine.

We are not just selling products or services—we are crafting compelling stories through visual content, reaching the hearts and minds of our audience. This role requires a designer who can:
Conduct in-depth research in Chinese herbal medicine and Classical Chinese iconography to create a culturally informed yet contemporary brand presence.
Move beyond stereotypical aesthetics, bringing forward historic and classical Chinese art references into authentic, nuanced, and sophisticated visual representations (with a contemporary interpretation) for our products and experiential offerings.
Develop aesthetic storytelling that aligns with our deeply rooted philosophy and elevates our B2B and D2C marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Website Redesign & Development
Lead the complete redesign and ongoing management of our three websites.
Implement new systems and practices to enhance user experience, engagement, and conversion.
Manage development via third-party platforms (e.g., Webflow) or collaborate with external developers as needed.
Ensure seamless integration of e-commerce functionality, educational resources, and community-building tools.
2. Retreats & Wellness Center Marketing
Develop branding and promotional materials for:
5-night immersive retreats focused on healing and transformation.
Out-patient ½ day retreats catering to busy professionals seeking wellness solutions.
The Healing Order’s new wellness center
All opening in 5 months - requiring full visual identity development.
Create compelling visual narratives to promote these offerings across web, print, and social media.
3. Brand Identity & Graphic Design
Maintain and evolve brand identity across all platforms.
Design marketing materials, including social media graphics, email campaigns, brochures, and promotional content.
Ensure a consistent visual language that aligns with our mission and core philosophy.
4. Packaging & Product Design
Develop packaging concepts for new and existing Classical Pearls products.
Implement product label design to meet regulatory and aesthetic requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure high-quality print production.
5. Social Media Oversight & Digital Marketing
Oversee visual strategy for social media platforms, ensuring brand cohesion.
Design engaging social content that connects with both B2B and D2C audiences.
Work alongside the marketing team to create visual campaigns that drive awareness and sales.
Qualifications & Skills
5+ years experience in graphic design, web design, and branding.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience with Webflow, Shopify, WordPress, or similar website platforms.
Strong UI/UX design sensibility with a portfolio showcasing modern, user-friendly websites.
Background in packaging design and print production.
Deep interest in Chinese medicine, wellness, and cultural iconography (or willingness to research).
Ability to manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
