The Good and the Beautiful is looking for an experienced marketing leader to guide the overall strategy for our homeschool curriculum and Bookshop products.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role oversees marketing efforts for our full line of curriculum—Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Handwriting, and Electives—as well as our growing collection of books for families.

The position leads the development and execution of marketing across all channels, with a focus on increasing brand awareness, expanding reach, and supporting long-term customer growth. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is consistent, meaningful, and aligned with the company’s mission.

Essential Functions

  1. Direct the overall marketing strategy for all homeschool curriculum products and Bookshop products in alignment with company mission and goals.
  2. Lead go-to-market and promotional campaigns, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  3. Oversee advertising strategy and performance in collaboration with our agency partner across Meta, Google, Pinterest, and iHeart.
  4. Manage and mentor a high-performing in-house team covering social media, email, SMS, blogs, landing pages, influencers, and photography.
  5. Collaborate with the CMO and Directors to implement and refine efficient departmental processes and SOPs.
  6. Set team goals and manage project calendars to ensure timely, accurate execution of campaigns.
  7. Analyze market data to inform marketing strategy and identify areas for optimization.
  8. Identify new customer segments and market opportunities.
  9. Develop advertising campaigns in collaboration with our ads agency based on market insights.
  10. Stay informed on marketing trends, tools, and platforms; recommend new initiatives as appropriate.
  11. Work cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Media, and Curriculum teams to support product launches and messaging.
  12. Partner with the CMO to forecast, draft, and manage marketing and advertising budgets.
  13. Monitor KPIs and campaign performance to drive continuous improvement.
  14. Maintain a positive team culture and mission alignment.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position oversees marketing managers, specialists, assistants, and creative staff including photographers, graphic designers, and videographers.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings in Lehi, Utah (1–2 times per year) and rare convention travel (every 2–3 years).

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Expected hours: 40 hours per week anytime between Monday through Saturday.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field
  • 5+ years in marketing leadership, preferably in ecommerce or education-related industries.
  • Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across paid and organic channels.
  • Experience managing agencies and multi-channel advertising campaigns (Meta, Google, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of mentoring teams.
