About the Role

Amatriot Group is seeking a Java Developer to support the Defense Health Agency (DoD) under the DMIX Interoperability Support Services (DISS) program. This role focuses on developing and maintaining secure, scalable solutions that enhance healthcare information sharing across defense medical systems.

Active Secret clearance and active certifications (Security+) are required at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support software solutions within defined project scopes.
• Code, test, debug, document, and maintain applications using Java, Git, and SQL.
• Support application testing, maintenance, and integration efforts.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver rapid, reliable solutions.
• Contribute to system improvements, software upgrades, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java development experience, including microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in Java, JSON, JDBC, and debugging methodologies.
• Experience with Linux and Java Web Containers (e.g., JBoss, Tomcat).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Micronaut, Quarkus, or MicroProfile.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with IntelliJ, Python, Bash, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Background supporting federal agencies (VA or Healthcare IT programs).

Clearance & Certifications

• Active Secret Clearance (must be held by one employer).
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $149,760.00 per year
