Senior AI-Native Software Engineer (Backend / Full-stack)

We're a software studio of 75+ people, and still growing. We build production AI systems for regulated industries like healthcare, insurance and banking, mostly for US clients. We also build our own AI-native products. AI isn't a layer we add on top. It's how we work and what we ship.

About the role

We're growing several teams at once, so this posting covers more than one seat. You'd join a small, senior pod of three or four engineers embedded with one of our enterprise clients.

Some pods build AI features into products people use every day. Others work on the internal platform the client's engineers use to build, test and ship, where AI-assisted development is the whole point. We'll match you with the team where your stack and your interests fit best.

What stays the same from team to team: you ship real software to production, and AI is part of how you do it.

Day to day, you'd:

• Build and ship backend services and APIs, and the frontend when the feature needs it.
• Build with LLMs and agents as part of the product, not as a demo.
• Use AI coding tools every day, and help the team figure out where they actually help.
• Get productive fast in codebases you've never seen, legacy ones included.
• Turn fuzzy requirements into something the pod can build, and question tickets that don't make sense.
• Work directly with the client's engineers, in English.

What we're looking for

The technical side

• 5+ years building software professionally. Fewer, but clearly on your way up? Tell us anyway.
• Strong in at least one backend stack. Java with Spring Boot is the most common across our teams. TypeScript/Node and Python show up too.
• Comfortable with React and TypeScript, or happy to pick them up when a feature needs it.
• You've built something real with LLMs: an agent, a RAG system, a workflow that took work off someone's plate. Side projects count if you shipped them.
• You use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor or similar) enough to have a real opinion on them.
• Cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP), CI/CD and containers are a plus.

Communication

• English at B2 or above, in writing and on a call. You'll work with US clients every day.
• You explain technical tradeoffs clearly, to engineers and to people who don't write code.
• You flag things early.

The human side

• You take ownership. When something's off, you raise it and bring a fix.
• You're not married to a technology or to your own ego.
• You care about leaving code the next person can actually maintain.
• You like small teams where everyone's work is visible.
