The US Oncology Network is looking for a Senior Regional Marketing Manager to join our team at Texas Oncology. This remote position will support the Gulf Coast and West Texas regional markets.
The ideal candidate will be located in the Houston, TX area for meetings and training.

What does the Senior Marketing Manager do?
Manages the planning, directing, and coordination of marketing services for the Gulf Coast and West Texas regions. Ensures Texas Oncology clinics and physicians are positioned in accordance with budgeted objectives to achieve maximum exposure, marketing opportunity and profitability. Creates omnichannel marketing plans to meet changing marketing and competitive conditions.
Energetic and intuitive marketer with exceptional leadership and communication skills. Experience in healthcare a plus. Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results. Experienced in strategic marketing planning, event management, reputation management, social media and communication development with ability to firmly execute. Adept in online and traditional marketing, and highly skilled in visual communications. The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the success of the Texas Oncology programs, services, and brand promise in the marketplace with an emphasis on cross cultural program development.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the development of marketing strategies and execution that drive patient acquisition, strengthening the brand and positioning Texas Oncology as the provider of choice in the Gulf and West regions.
- Works with internal Brand, Digital, Internal and External Communications, Content and Social leads to build the right strategies that position the quality of care within Texas Oncology, its clinical leaders and clinical trials program.
- Responsible for the project management and implementation of tactical marketing initiatives for the Practice clinics in multiple locations.
- Manages high-profile events that deliver impactful moments for the region like groundbreaking ceremonies, acquisitions and key partnerships.
- Leads reputation management strategy for the regions.
- Develops relationships with Liaison team and key internal and external leadership.
- Manages vendor and team relationships as necessary to build marketing plans that drive balance local KPI's and broad brand strategies.
Marketing/Marketing Strategy
- Manages the development and preparation of short-term and long-range marketing plans based on corporate goals and local objectives to ensure positioning, patient growth and expansion.
- Serves as internal "Account Manager," serving the critical position between the Home Office and local clinic(s) / patient voice.
- Aligns with Liaison team, local market leadership and Marketing verticals to ensure regional strategic plans are built with holistic thinking and an omnichannel approach.
- Consults with local staff on new opportunities and ideas.
- Identifies and manages the development of marketing tools to assist in the message delivery efforts of all market segments.
- Support content production and design that aligns with customer segments, working daily with Design, Medical, and Content Creative teams.
- Builds insights and creative ideas that drive new patient growth and other opportunities.
- Monitors markets, industries, and companies to maintain an updated information base.
- Leads physician reputation management program for the Gulf and West regions, looking at opportunities to build and manage reputations.
- Prepares marketing services budgets based on an understanding of operations and objectives.
- Identifies patient success stories and work with team to create appropriate case studies and collateral.
Reporting/Data Analytics
- Develops and distributes reports including Marketing report-outs, physician reputation management and other project reports that help socialize the current marketing effort, results, and value.
- Leads quarterly marketing report out to Physician and Operations leadership.
- Collaborate to create, launch and track performance of product and service offerings in our markets.
- Evaluates market reactions to advertising and PR programs and products/services formulation and adjusts strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Assists in conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis within regional markets.
- Helps analyze marketing data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements based on insights.
Channel Growth
- Drive channel roadmaps and execution, identifying, sizing, and pursuing new opportunities for new patient growth, including focus on new markets and localization
- Execute initiatives to drive patient growth and retention across the funnel.
- Support strategy and execution across marketing channels and liaisons as supports customer growth and conversion.
- Ensures that marketing activities are planned, managed, and controlled to maximize potential benefit to the company within budgetary guidelines.
Management
- As required, project manages other marketing or support staff as required.
- Establish effective working relationships with practices, Liaisons and agency leadership to ensure that our products and services are implemented through sales enablement and marketing demand
- Execute online and offline marketing initiatives, integrating online and new media, email, print, direct mail, social media, company websites, SEM/SEO strategy development, brand awareness and drip marketing initiatives. The ability to speak to how these channels work together is imperative.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related degree.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in marketing/advertising.
- Prior marketing experience in a Health Care setting and supervisory/liaison experience preferred.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent cross-cultural communication skills, as well as the following:
- Excellent writing and copy-editing abilities.
- Knowledge of market research impact on product and campaign development
- Knowledgeable on a wide range of marketing tools, principles, practices and strategies

Work Environment
The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
