Software Engineer - Ads

Temu is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer, SEM Infrastructure to join our team. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain API integrations with major advertising platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads) for automated campaign management and creative asset synchronization.
• Develop scalable backend services to handle automated keyword management, categorization, and large-scale ad creation (including image handling).
• Design and maintain infrastructure for dynamic landing page rendering and real-time personalization at scale.
• Design data architectures that process large volumes of traffic data, enabling accurate A/B testing and performance tracking for various creative combinations.
• Optimize system performance to support real-time bid changes and high-concurrency requests.
• Work closely with the algorithm team to deploy and serve machine learning, large language models, and computer vision models in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building large-scale backend systems or data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Go, or Python).
• Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and database architecture (SQL and NoSQL).
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on code quality.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

## Preferred skills and qualifications

• Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Flink).
• Previous experience in AdTech, computational advertising, or integrating with Google Ads/Bing Ads APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
