Job Summary
Tempesta Media is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Digital Marketing Specialist to join our fast-growing, venture-capital-backed team. This pivotal role drives digital marketing performance and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leverages their digital marketing expertise to accelerate company growth.
This will be the first dedicated marketing role, reporting directly to the CEO. The position affords significant career and professional development opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing:
- Manage, optimize and scale the company’s outbound email marketing program, company newsletter and company quarterly research survey.
- Implement, manage and optimize the company’s Meta advertising program.
Press Relations and Event Management:
- Manage the execution of the company’s events, including trade shows, webinars, podcasts, and in-person roundtables.
- Develop relationships with media and manage the press release wire and promotion process.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize wizard-level proficiency in MS Excel and Google GA4 to analyze performance and report on KPIs each month.
Digital Content Marketing & Management:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all content publishing on WordPress-based websites, including blogs and social media.
- Optimize content for maximum visibility, ensuring high-quality and consistent brand messaging.
- Use intermediate-level Google Analytics skills (filters and segments) to analyze website traffic and user behavior, reporting findings to the CEO.
Project & Operations Management:
- Utilize project management software (such as MS Planner, Monday.com, etc.) at an intermediate level to track all internal and external marketing projects, including with our web development team.
- Gracefully manage multiple competing projects, ensuring they are completed correctly, on time, and within budget.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to build and improve processes and procedures within our semi-unstructured environment.
Strategic Communication: Leverage excellent writing skills to craft professional communications that are tailored for different internal and external audiences.
Candidate Profile: What We're Looking For
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced, digital marketing role.
- Success Track Record: You have a track record of achieving digital marketing success as measured by critical KPIs, including top, middle- and bottom-funnel sales and marketing metrics.
- Technical Expertise:
- Email Marketing: Experience with both outbound (e.g., Instantly) and nurturing (e.g., Mailchimp) email programs and technologies.
- Google Analytics: Intermediate user with strong skills in creating and applying filters and segments.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Wizard-level proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, charts, pivot/lookup tables) and PowerPoint.
- Digital Skills: Highly Internet savvy, social media literate, and an expert in publishing and optimizing content on WordPress and social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Meta.
- AI Prompting/Agents: Intermediate user of generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) for research, content generation, and task automation.
- Project Management and Collaboration Software: Intermediate experience with platforms such as Slack, Monday.com and others.
