POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Manager develops, implements, and manages product marketing activities to maximize sales of assigned product lines. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team activities with sales, product development and operations personnel. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Other duties may be assigned.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigates market opportunities for present and future products and recommends market potential in assigned product range.
- Writes business and marketing plans to include; market development, sales promotion, distribution, pricing, sales forecasts, market trends and market potential.
- Maintain strong relationships with sales staff and customers, follow up on new product launches, customer needs assessment, and sales promotion for market feedback.
- Reviews customer, sales and internal quality complaints and suggestions relative to assigned products and proactively relays information to appropriate departments with follow-up.
- Plan and co-ordinate new product launches, obsolescence programs and product updates. Responsible for all communications, support materials and deliverables to ensure successful market penetration.
- Coordinate and approve advertising on assigned projects within predetermined budget specifications.
- Responsible for all list pricing in EMEA including monitoring of actual asp’s and gross margins achieved by country and execution of annual pricing policy amendments.
- Attends international congresses related to the product line he\she is responsible for.
- Delivers training to internal and external stakeholders.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- At Least 5 years experience in a Product Management/Marketing.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Windows, MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must be competent to import and manipulate data using spreadsheets for reporting and presentation purposes.
- Fluency in English language necessary.
- Educated to Bachelor Degree Level required. Masters preferred.
- Organization Skills: Organize information quickly and multi-task to meet commitments. Ability to work independently, accept accountability, and be self motivated.
- Presentation Skills: Develop and implement product training programs.
- Interpersonal: Collaborate, negotiate, and build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Problem Solving Skills: Analytical, strategic thinker with logic and research skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of people having backgrounds, education and experience.
- Public speaking skills with the capacity to present in front of large groups of individuals.
- Good capability to analyze and quantify external data\trends and show the outcomes in an appropriate way.
