Android Software Engineer (Remote - Mexico & Brazil Only)

We’re looking for a seasoned Android Engineer to join our team working on a Connected Apps Platform—a tool that democratizes software development and enables teams to build intuitive mobile apps that power modern workflows. Our mission is to offer seamless, mobile-first experiences that empower users to organize anything, anywhere.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to design and build new features from the ground up, reimagining core user interactions with a strong emphasis on animations, performance, and UX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead feature development and re-architecture efforts for our Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and backend teams to deliver seamless and polished user experiences.
• Implement rich, interactive UIs with a focus on usability and performance.
• Make thoughtful, data-driven decisions that balance speed with quality.
• Contribute to and maintain a robust, scalable codebase that supports diverse workflows and users worldwide.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android SDK.
• Proven track record of building UI-rich, high-performance Android apps.
• Strong sense of product design and user experience.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Apps published on the Google Play Store.
• Experience integrating Android apps into larger platforms or systems.
• Familiarity with state management and architecture best practices.

Logistics

• Location: Remote (Candidates must be based in Mexico or Brazil)
• Start Date: Must be able to start after notice period ends
• Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week), with PST time zone overlap required
• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Notice Period: All candidates must have 2 weeks or less remaining in their notice period before the start date
