Description
Our healthcare client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support its enterprise Data Strategy program, operating in close collaboration with data architecture leadership while serving as a roving connector between the Data Strategy workstream and the Cloud Modernization Technical Program Management workstream.
This role is accountable for actively identifying, clarifying, and managing dependencies, prerequisites, and impacts between the two initiatives in real time. The TPM will maintain readiness sequencing as data maturity efforts inform cloud governance decisions and Azure schema design.
MUST HAVE RECENT HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH MICROSOFT AND SI PARTNERS ON MODERNIZATION PROJECTS
Key Outcomes
Keep the data strategy execution tightly integrated with cloud modernization, ensuring neither workstream creates downstream blockers for the other
Maintain an authoritative view of cross‑program dependencies and readiness sequencing, clearly answering “what must be true, by when”
Enable leadership to make informed decisions by providing clear visibility into prerequisites, risks, impacts, and timing
Responsibilities
Program Management – Data Strategy:
Run day‑to‑day project management for the data strategy program, including workplan management, milestones, RAID tracking, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
Coordinate closely with the Data Architect to translate architecture concepts into trackable deliverables, execution timelines, and dependency milestones
Maintain disciplined execution through professional, well‑organized, and consistent reporting
Cross‑Program Dependency Management
Proactively surface and manage dependencies, prerequisites, and impacts between the data strategy and cloud modernization programs in real time
Identify and communicate dependencies that may not be explicitly stated between initiatives
Ensure maturity milestones in the data fabric and analytics architecture are shared, discussed, and formalized with the Cloud TPM so Azure governance principles and schema decisions remain aligned
Readiness Scheduling
Build and maintain readiness schedules that sequence data platform evolution alongside cloud modernization phases, such as when capabilities must be in place to support migration waves
Track and manage readiness gates, ensuring decision points are supported by current dependency, sequencing, and risk information
Support questions such as landing zone readiness and timing as inputs into both data and cloud execution planning
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination
Serve as a key interface with cloud leadership, Microsoft partners, architects, and program stakeholders
Facilitate dependency reviews, integrated planning sessions, and risk discussions across initiatives
Produce concise, actionable communications that support executive‑level decision making
Key Deliverables
Integrated data strategy workplan and status reporting
Cross‑program dependency map (data ↔ cloud), prerequisites register, and integrated RAID log
