Senior UI/UX Designer
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to lead design and user experience strategy for a comprehensive Prosecutorial Case Management System (PCMS). The role requires expertise in enterprise application design, government sector UX, and optimization of complex legal workflows for criminal justice professionals.
Location: Hyderabad / Remote
Experience: 6+ Years (with at least 2 years in senior/lead roles)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research with prosecutors, ADAs, legal staff, and administrative teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and develop user personas.
- Map complex workflows from case intake to disposition and facilitate stakeholder workshops to capture requirements.
- Perform competitive analysis of legal case management systems and recommend design improvements.
- Design intuitive workflows, scalable navigation, role-based interfaces, dashboards, and analytics for 15+ modules.
- Deliver high-fidelity, responsive designs and maintain design systems including component libraries, typography, color, and accessibility standards.
- Build interactive prototypes and ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Design evidence management, participant management, legal document workflows, and AI-powered feature interfaces.
- Lead design for internal and external portals (DA staff, defendants, victims, witnesses, public dashboards).
- Plan and execute usability and accessibility testing, ensuring performance, cross-browser compatibility, and security.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and developers, presenting designs, leading critique sessions, and providing developer handoffs.
- Review implemented designs with QA for pixel-perfect execution.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of UI/UX design experience, including 2+ years in senior or lead roles.
- Proven expertise in enterprise application design, preferably in legal, government, or regulated sectors.
- Strong track record managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience with legal technology or case management systems is highly desirable.
- Expert in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Principle.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript capabilities and limitations.
- Advanced responsive and mobile-first design skills for cross-device consistency.
- Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA standards and Section 508 accessibility compliance.
- Experienced in creating and maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.
- Skilled at simplifying complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Proficient in designing data-rich interfaces with advanced filtering, search, and analytics.
- Strong capability in secure design patterns for sensitive and regulated data.
- Experienced in managing multi-user systems with role-based permissions and multi-tenant architecture.
- Adept at delivering seamless user experiences across integrated systems and complex platforms.
- Proficient in user research: interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data-driven analysis.
- Strong foundation in design thinking and human-centered design principles.
- Effective in stakeholder management, balancing priorities across diverse teams.
- Skilled in creating comprehensive design documentation, specifications, and user flows.
