Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced algorithms and models. Your work will support key teams such as Field Operations, R&D, Flights, Simulation, Autopilot by automating workflows and enhancing decision support, mission planning, and situational awareness capabilities.
What Will Be Your Responsibilities
Profile And Requirements
Education
Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
A Ph.D. is a plus.
Experience
3+ years of experience in data science and machine learning modeling.
Deep experience in mission-critical environments (e.g., field operations, real-time systems, situational awareness).
Proven track record in predictive modeling, especially for time series data.
Strong background in machine learning, data science, and analytics, including building and deploying models.
Familiarity with geospatial analytics and drone data processing frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to work with multi-modal datasets (sensor data, GIS, text, etc.).
Experience deploying models in production, including using APIs, containers, and monitoring tools.
Technical Skills
Programming & Data Manipulation
Proficient in Python, with experience using NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
Skilled in handling time series, unstructured, and geospatial data.
Machine Learning & Modeling
Expertise in classical ML methods: regression, classification, clustering, XGBoost, and ensemble techniques.
Solid understanding of deep learning for time series, including RNNs, LSTMs, CNNs, and Transformers.
Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers for sequence modeling and transfer learning.
Deep Learning Frameworks
Proficient with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, and TensorRT.
Capable of building, training, and fine-tuning models for various applications.
Experimentation & Tools
Experienced in Jupyter Notebooks and interactive dev environments.
Bonus: Familiarity with ML experiment tracking/versioning tools like MLflow or Weights & Biases.
Geospatial & Sensor Data
Hands-on experience with GIS systems and drone sensor data.
Proficient in geospatial tools/libraries: GeoPandas, Rasterio, QGIS, or similar.
Cloud & Deployment
Experience deploying models in cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiar with containerization (e.g., Docker), REST API deployment, and serverless architectures.
Understanding of DevOps practices: Git, CI/CD, telemetry, and model lifecycle management.
