Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Java and modern front-end frameworks.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Integrate with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Implement caching strategies (Redis, Hazelcast) for high-performance applications.
• Create responsive, interactive UIs using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Integrate UI with back-end services via REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Deploy applications on AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Work with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Ensure application security.
• Work closely with business analysts, designers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in daily standup, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Java development with a strong full-stack background.
• Core Skills: Java 8+, Java EE, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Front-End Skills: Angular / React / Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Material UI.
• Database Skills: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• API & Integration: RESTful Web Services, GraphQL, JSON, XML, SOAP.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP (at least one in production).
• Tools & DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube.
• Strong experience with unit testing & automation .
• Knowledge of security best practices (OWASP Top 10).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Experience with API gateways (Kong, Apigee).
• Knowledge of performance tuning and monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
