Job Summary:
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions that enhance business processes and improve user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Development & Customization:
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
- Customize ServiceNow configurations, including forms, fields, workflows, UI policies, and business rules.
- Develop and maintain scripts (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS) to enhance platform functionality.
- Create and manage ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and other integration methods.
- Platform Optimization & Maintenance:
- Perform platform upgrades and ensure system stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow configurations and customizations.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and user guides.
- Provide training and support to end-users and administrators to ensure effective adoption of the platform.
- Innovation & Best Practices:
- Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow platform updates, features, and industry trends.
- Implement best practices for ServiceNow development and administration.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and customization.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
- Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITBM, HR Service Delivery, or CSM.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration methods.
- Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and performance optimization.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ITIL Foundation Certification (or higher).
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
