TechHeads is excited to bring you a new opportunity for a Principal Engineer to join a fast-growing product company based in Ireland. This role will allow you to combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering in a modern company with significant growth potential.

You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to design robust, scalable systems, while mentoring developers and raising engineering standards across a growing team. This position offers real influence over architecture, tooling, and best practices, with the opportunity to shape and scale SaaS products.

In this role you will be involved in the full development lifecycle as you work with Python, JavaScript, modern frontend frameworks, and AWS Cloud infrastructure, while staying close to emerging AI and data technologies. Allowing you to work with modern, evolving tech while applying your expertise to guide complex, scalable projects.

This is a remote-first opportunity for candidates based in Ireland, offering strong work-life balance and flexibility. This role is ideal for someone looking for autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at both a technical and organisational level.

Requirements:

• 2+ years in a technical leadership based role
• 8+ years’ experience in software development with strong Python/JavaScript expertise
• Experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native applications (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding principles
• Based in Ireland with an EU Passport or Stamp 4 Visa

Salary: €100,000 - €115,000 DOE
