About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer based in Latin America, ready to relocate to Barcelona within 45 days through the PAC visa program. You’ll be part of a top-tier engineering team for a leading multinational insurance company, working on cloud-based platforms and mission-critical microservices using the latest Java technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Integrate backend services with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Lombok and best development practices.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, architectural discussions, and peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams — English fluency is mandatory.
• Apply SOLID principles, clean architecture, and automated testing approaches.

Required Tech Stack

• Languages: Java 11–21 (preferably 17 or higher)
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security
• Build Tools: Gradle (preferred) or Maven
• Cloud: Microsoft Azure (required)
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito
• Other (Required): Lombok, Docker, REST APIs, JWT, Swagger

Candidate Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend Java developer
• Experience designing and maintaining microservices in production
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services
• Fluent in English (C1), written and spoken
• Lombok experience is mandatory
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona within 45 days under the PAC visa
