About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for a senior product marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and is ready to own and execute a vision for product marketing within a growing business. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will be the sole product marketer at TaxCloud and join a small team of experienced marketers to help grow a SaaS business within a highly competitive market.
In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and our Leadership team to help shape the Go To Market strategy.
You’ll craft our positioning, drive product launch strategy, create high-impact content, and become the internal and external voice of what’s happening in the sales tax industry. We’re also looking for someone who embraces the power of AI as a force multiplier—from content creation and customer research to competitive analysis and launch planning.
This is a senior-level IC role with a path to building a team in the future.
What You’ll Do
- Company Positioning & Messaging: Own and evolve our product and company positioning to clearly articulate TaxCloud’s value in a competitive market.
- Product Launches: Build go-to-market strategies for new features and product releases—crafting messaging, coordinating cross-functionally, and driving launch execution.
- Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with compelling collateral, battlecards, talk tracks, and training to win deals and reduce friction in the sales cycle.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Learn the sales tax market and competitive landscape—informing product, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Industry Leadership: Stay ahead of trends and regulatory changes in the sales tax space to inform content strategy and positioning.
- Customer Insights: Drive qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, pain points, and adoption behavior.
- Content Development: Partner with content and demand gen to create top- and mid-funnel materials that align with buyer personas and the customer journey.
- AI-Enabled Marketing Execution: Use tools like ChatGPT and other AI platforms to accelerate content generation, streamline workflows, uncover insights, and test messaging at scale.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally in SaaS, B2B, or fintech environments.
- 1-2 Product Marketing Manager or Sr Product Marketing Manager experiences in a SaaS business
- Proven success owning GTM strategy, messaging, positioning, and sales enablement in a small or startup team.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset—you’re comfortable being the only product marketer and building from scratch.
- Strong interest in AI and integrate AI tools into your workflow for research, content creation, and strategy execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, customer success, and leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with a bias toward action and results.
- Passion for continuous learning, owning your craft, and eventually growing a team.
