The Role

The Function & Control team is responsible for the development of all seat functions within Volvo Cars. The team designs, develops, and delivers software for both in-house solutions and supplier-controlled modules, ensuring high quality, functionality, and innovation throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain software architecture for automotive products
Develop and secure high-quality software solutions for vehicle applications
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute with innovative ideas
Work independently while effectively collaborating across multiple functions
Manage technical issues proactively and communicate status transparently
Ensure the best possible customer experience regarding functionality and quality

Experience / Background

At least 5 years of experience in Software Development using C++ and/or C
Experience with QNX and AUTOSAR software development (mandatory)
Strong understanding of automotive software development practices
Experience with Git, Gerrit, or other version control tools
Knowledge of Google Test or similar testing frameworks
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
Experience with Embedded Linux Development
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and automated testing
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
