The role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and support the analysis of vehicle propulsion and energy-related data, with a particular focus on high-voltage battery systems. In this role, you will work with large-scale vehicle data to generate insights into vehicle behavior, improve product quality, and enhance the customer experience. You will collaborate closely with developers, engineers, and product stakeholders while applying data science, machine learning, and statistical methods to solve real-world automotive challenges.
Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analysis of fleet and vehicle data to identify trends and improve product performance.
- Analyze data from high-voltage battery systems to support product development and quality improvements.
- Develop predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
- Analyze data related to high-voltage batteries, vehicle charging, and electric drive systems.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex insights to stakeholders.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code following software development best practices.
- Review and provide feedback on code developed by team members.
- Support automated and continuous feedback processes for software and hardware quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights and product improvements.
Background / Experience
- Experience with exploratory and confirmatory data analysis.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience writing clean, maintainable code.
- Experience working with PySpark, SQL, and ETL pipelines.
- Knowledge of scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, or Polars.
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Matplotlib and Seaborn.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience working with platforms such as Databricks and Jupyter.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Meritorious
- Experience within the automotive industry and diagnostics domain.
- Experience with high-voltage battery design, analytics, assembly, or repair.
- Experience applying machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
- Experience developing software in Linux environments.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
