About The Role:
Taoshi is seeking a full-time, remote, Staff Software Engineer to join our team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems powering Glitch Financial, our SaaS automated trading platform. This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineer with a passion for trading systems and SaaS solutions. You’ll architect scalable, reliable infrastructure that drives automated trading strategies, delivering real value to users and enabling wealth generation at scale.
All team members work remotely. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and build high-performance, scalable backend systems to support Glitch Financial’s automated trading platform
- Design and implement robust APIs, data pipelines, and real-time systems that power trading bots and user-facing features
- Lead technical initiatives to enhance platform reliability, security, and efficiency under high transaction volumes
- Collaborate with product and trading teams to translate market strategies into innovative software solutions
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and ownership within the team
- Optimize systems for low-latency execution and high-throughput processing of market data and trades
- Drive the evolution of engineering standards, tools, and practices to keep Glitch Financial at the forefront of trading technology
- Contribute to the vision of democratizing wealth generation by building intuitive, impactful tools for the masses
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or staff-level role
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience building large-scale backend systems
- Proven ability to design and deliver distributed, fault-tolerant systems in a production environment
- Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, APIs, and real-time data processing
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of tackling complex technical challenges
- Experience working remotely with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on trading systems, bots, or financial platforms
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining automated trading platforms or algorithmic trading bots
- Background in financial markets, quantitative trading, or crypto trading systems
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, including subscription models, user authentication, and scalability challenges
- Demonstrated leadership in driving cross-team technical projects or initiatives
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
