Head of Digital Marketing

Role Overview : The Head of Digital Marketing & Technology Operations will lead the Digital Pod at TantraEdu in Pune, spanning Performance Marketing, SEO, Web Development, Data Analytics, and AI operations. This role owns digital growth strategies, campaign attribution, automated Looker Studio dashboards, agency project management tool adoption, and person-independent technical SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Pod & Campaign Leadership : Own end-to-end digital growth strategies, channel allocations, and media planning across Google, Meta, and organic channels to hit conversion benchmarks.
• Performance Marketing & Creative Testing : Govern campaign setups, bid strategies, budget pacing, and creative-performance feedback loops in close collaboration with the Creative Pod.
• Analytics, Tracking & Attribution : Enforce accurate GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, CRM integration, and multi-channel attribution setups to track customer acquisition costs (CAC).
• Automated BI & Reporting Infrastructure : Replace manual Excel sheets with automated, self-refreshing Looker Studio dashboards integrated with AI commentary to deliver decision-oriented insights.
• SEO & Website Operations : Direct technical SEO audits, site crawlability, mobile responsiveness, and web development standards to ensure landing page conversion readiness.
• MarTech & AI Workflow Automation : Build the agency’s marketing technology stack, deploying automated workflows (Zapier/n8n/Make) and prompt libraries for SEO, reporting, and campaign intelligence.
• Agency ERP & Project Management Systems : Implement integrated project management platforms (Asana/ClickUp/Jira) with RAG status visibility, workload views, and SLA tracking to eliminate delivery bottlenecks.
• Documentation, Governance & Team Leadership : Standardize process SOPs, centralize account access credentials, conduct digital skill gap reviews, and coach the Digital Pod team.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

• Campaign ROI & CPL Efficiency : Achieve client acquisition targets, cost-per-lead (CPL) reductions, and conversion-funnel optimization across all active accounts.
• Reporting Automation & Manual Effort Reduction : Eliminate manual Excel reporting trackers in favor of 100% automated, self-refreshing client and management dashboards.
• Agency Project Management Tool Adoption : Ensure full team onboarding and daily usage of centralized PM tools (Asana/ClickUp) with RAG tracking metrics.
• Attribution & Tracking Accuracy : Maintain zero tracking-discrepancy gaps across GA4, GTM, ad accounts, and client CRM lead ingestion funnels.
• SOP Standardization & Risk Mitigation : Document technical operating procedures across all digital functions to eliminate single-person dependencies and security risks.

Educational Qualification : Master’s Degree (MBA / M.Tech / M.Sc) in Marketing, Digital Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Analytics from a recognized institution.

Work Experience

• Overall Experience : 15+ years of core digital marketing, performance engineering, and technology operations leadership.
• Relevant Work Experience Aspects
• Minimum 5–7 years leading multidisciplinary digital teams (performance marketing, SEO, web, analytics) within digital marketing agencies or high-growth tech platforms.
• Proven experience executing turnaround transformations, shifting agencies away from manual spreadsheets and ad-hoc task trackers toward automated PM tools and AI workflows.
• Deep experience managing multi-crore digital ad spends, designing end-to-end attribution models, and building automated Looker Studio reporting architectures.
• Proven track record in process documentation, establishing person-independent SOPs, cross-training technical staff, and securing agency digital assets against single-person exit risks.
• Demonstrated success in productizing digital services, analytics engines, and admissions growth stacks for commercial client acquisition.
