I am recruiting for an Associate, Software Engineer – Data Focus on behalf of a pioneering real estate investment technology firm. This team is building an AI-first application that leverages external data sources, machine learning, and modern data visualization to transform commercial real estate decision-making. You’ll work alongside a highly collaborative team of software engineers, data scientists, and designers, building and maintaining robust data pipelines, driving innovation, and bringing digital intelligence to CRE investment analysis.

We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our team in London, to help build exciting new features, support the commercialization of the product, and be an active partner in bringing digital innovation to commercial real estate. You will join an experienced, tight-knit team of software engineers, machine learning scientists, and UX & UI designers.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or software engineering roles

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field

• Strong Python programming (especially pandas, GeoPandas, Pydantic, boto3)

• Experience with geospatial data and data engineering for ML applications

• Cloud proficiency (preferably AWS) and experience with containerized environments (Docker, EKS)

• Solid Git practices, TDD, and Agile development

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Experience working with financial services or asset management domains preferred

Technical Stack:

Data Pipeline Stack: Python 3, pandas, GeoPandas, boto3, Pydantic, Data Version Control (DVC) 2
Core API Stack: Python 3, Django 4
Infrastructure: AWS, EKS, Docker, ADO (for CI/CD pipelines, git hosting, ticket tracking)
Hardware: Mac, Linux

This is for an approximate 9-month fixed term contract – it may become permanent but not guaranteed at the moment.

Salary range is £80K to £90K pro-rated. And same benefits apply as our standard benefits package.
