Location: Melbourne / Remote

Salary: Up to 165,000 + Super + Bonus

The Opportunity

Talenza is partnering with a leading technology organisation to appoint a Senior Full Stack Developer to join its Melbourne-based engineering team.

This is a hands-on senior role with a strong backend focus, where you'll design and develop scalable software, APIs and database solutions while contributing to front-end development when required.

You'll work closely with Engineering, Product and Design teams, help shape development standards and mentor junior engineers.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining backend services, APIs and server-side logic using C# and VB.Net.

• Designing and optimising database solutions using PostgreSQL and MS-SQL.

• Optimising SQL queries, APIs and backend processes for performance, scalability and reliability.

• Contributing to front-end development using React, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.

• Collaborating with Product Managers, Product Designers and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering standards and development practices.

• Implementing unit and integration testing across backend services and supporting front-end testing using Jest, Mocha or Jasmine.

• Working with Flux or Redux for application state management.

• Contributing to application and system performance optimisation.

• Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements where appropriate.

• Mentoring, coaching and supporting more junior software engineers.

• Keeping up to date with modern technologies and software engineering practices.

About You

You're a senior software engineer with a strong backend background who is comfortable working across the full stack.

You'll bring:

• 6+ years' experience with C# and/or VB.Net.

• 6+ years' experience with PostgreSQL and MS-SQL, including optimisation and data management.

• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of database design, queries and optimisation.

• 3+ years' experience with React.

• Strong JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 skills.

• Experience with Flux or Redux.

• Familiarity with React Hooks, particularly for testing.

• Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha or Jasmine.

• Strong knowledge of performance optimisation techniques.

• Working knowledge of Figma and experience working with Product and Design teams.

• Experience with design systems or component libraries such as Material UI or NextUI is advantageous.

• AngularJS experience is a bonus.
