About the Role

We are seeking a technically versatile Software Engineer to lead the modernization and migration of critical internal business systems. This role will work directly with leadership to transform legacy applications currently built on Microsoft Access and SQL into scalable cloud-native solutions leveraging Vercel, Supabase, and modern AI-powered development tools.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building modern applications, enjoys solving complex migration challenges, and actively incorporates AI coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT into their daily engineering workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Migration & Cloud Architecture

• Lead the migration of legacy Microsoft Access and SQL-based applications to modern cloud architectures.
• Design scalable application architectures using Vercel, Supabase, and modern web technologies.
• Create and optimize database schemas, data models, and migration workflows.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal systems, databases, and third-party applications.
• Ensure data integrity, security, performance, and scalability throughout migration initiatives.
• Manage source control, deployment pipelines, and engineering workflows using GitHub.

AI-Assisted Development & Engineering

• Develop, test, and deploy new features using AI-assisted development tools.
• Leverage technologies such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar platforms to accelerate software delivery.
• Research and implement emerging AI development practices and tools.
• Collaborate directly with leadership and business stakeholders to convert operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and integration issues.
• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or systems integration.
• Proven experience migrating legacy business applications to modern cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Supabase and Vercel.
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise.
• Experience designing and executing database migration projects.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as Next.js, React, or similar technologies.
• Experience building REST APIs and integrations.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
