As a Marketing Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the placement and marketing of commercial insurance accounts. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with producers and account managers to market and place commercial insurance accounts.
- Review and analyze submissions, prepare applications, and negotiate terms with underwriters.
- Build and maintain relationships with carrier partners to secure competitive pricing and favorable coverage terms.
- Track and manage carrier responses and underwriting timelines to ensure efficient marketing processes.
- Deliver quote comparisons and coverage analyses to account managers, providing timely updates throughout the process.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of submissions, proposals, and policy endorsements.
- Identify gaps in coverage and recommend enhancements or alternative strategies.
- Stay informed on market trends, underwriting appetites, and industry developments.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong service orientation and ability to actively assist clients and team members.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills to evaluate coverage options effectively.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder interaction.
- Experience in commercial insurance marketing or brokerage (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and systems such as EPIC.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field.
- Property & Casualty license.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with carrier partners.
- Active learning and troubleshooting capabilities to address challenges effectively.
- Knowledge of market trends and underwriting practices within the insurance industry.
