What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Develop and maintain software toolkits in Python and Java for machine learning model support
• Design and optimize cloud-based services for applied science models in Hiring Company Cloud Infrastructure
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to deliver user-friendly APIs and documentation
• Build and support asynchronous communication patterns using message queues and data streaming systems
• Monitor and instrument solutions for performance and reliability in production environments

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• 8-12 years of relevant software development experience, focusing on backend and AI-first applications
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in both Python and Java with experience in production software development
• Solid foundations in concurrent and distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
• Professional experience with asynchronous communications and message queues

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying containerized applications
• Experience developing tools or APIs for applied scientists or machine learning practitioners
• Working knowledge of AI/LLM APIs and best practices for creating sample code
• Familiarity with Hiring Company Cloud Infrastructure or other cloud platforms
