What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Collaborate with country offices and ministries of health to access, clean, and analyze routine health data
- Design and maintain automated, scalable data pipelines for diverse data sources
- Develop customized dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making
- Support the maintenance and expansion of the MNCAH Global Database and related data infrastructure
- Ensure documentation and reproducibility of analytical workflows
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science or health data analytics
- Proven experience in designing reproducible data pipelines and automated reporting tools using R
- Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and conduct data quality assessments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; proficiency in another UN language is desirable
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with cloud-based database systems and building ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with global health indicator frameworks related to maternal and child health
- Prior experience in capacity-building efforts through training or documentation
- Understanding of data governance and ethical use of health data
