About the Opportunity:

The STAFF AI ENGINEER role is focused on advancing the organization's data and intelligence capabilities by developing systems that transform large-scale operational and product data into actionable insights. This position is critical in building retrieval, graph, inference layers, and agentic systems that enable efficient context retrieval and decision-making processes for customers and internal teams. The role contributes to creating shared AI capabilities that enhance overall organizational performance and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy production AI software regularly.
• Lead efforts to improve rapid retrieval of customer context using semantic, indexing, and knowledge graph methods.
• Build inference models and processors interacting with the data lakehouse, delivering scored insights.
• Translate detected signals into operational workflows with appropriate human oversight.
• Select appropriate methods and tools balancing AI model usage and deterministic logic, considering inference costs.
• Implement evaluation and observability frameworks for AI systems to ensure reliability.
• Establish development patterns and collaborate with leadership to align AI systems with company objectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, including at least 3 years in AI or ML production environments.
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python or equivalent languages used in AI and data processing.
• Expertise in large-scale data handling, including advanced SQL, data transformations (dbt), and distributed query engines.
• Experience with production-level retrieval systems, including embeddings, vector search, and graph retrieval.
• Familiarity with agentic systems, durable workflows, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and codebases.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
