About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, BACKEND, will play a key role in scaling advanced trading products by designing and delivering backend services that enhance asset discovery, social engagement, and real-time notifications. This position is critical for driving customer engagement and enabling seamless trading experiences across various asset classes, contributing directly to the platform's growth and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end design, development, and reliability of backend services using Golang and gRPC.
• Lead experimentation and optimization of trading conversion funnels using data-driven insights.
• Make system design decisions balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Promote software engineering best practices in design, coding, testing, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers across time zones to align on product vision and deliverables.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with expertise in Golang and gRPC.
• Experience designing scalable service architectures and making design trade-offs in high-throughput systems.
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, or similar cloud infrastructure tools.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures such as Kafka or message queuing systems.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, third-party API integrations, GraphQL, and ETL pipelines.
• Ability to independently manage complex projects from concept to production.
• Responsible use of generative AI with appropriate human oversight to improve workflows.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Annual base salary range: $186,065 to $218,900 USD (excluding equity and bonus).
• Total compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
