Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Contract Technical Program Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional project efforts within the organization. This role requires a proactive professional to manage week-over-week work priorities for a data engineering team.

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in a technical role, with proven expertise in project and program management. This position plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining multiple roadmaps, and ensuring effective communication across globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Work Prioritization: Oversee week-over-week priorities for a data engineering team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Project Management: Utilize tools like Atlassian Jira, Asana, and Microsoft 365 to manage and track project progress, document activities, and report to leadership.
• Roadmap Management: Maintain and oversee multiple project roadmaps, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Communication: Facilitate asynchronous communication across teams in different time zones, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
• Technical Translation: Convert business requirements into technical specifications, clearly communicating trade-offs to non-technical team members.
• Relationship Building: Develop strong professional relationships with engineers, engineering managers, product managers, and business leaders to drive project success.
• Operational Efficiency: Monitor and report on operational improvements, providing regular updates to leadership.
• Technical Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with microservices, cloud architectures, and API services is a plus.
