About the Role

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to help modernize and evolve our Core Offer-Matching Platform—a mission-critical system responsible for connecting consumers to financial offers while securely managing sensitive PII.

This platform is central to business, driving over half of company revenue. In this role, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with architectural leadership to transform a complex, multi-service platform into a modern, scalable, and AI-ready system.

You’ll spend roughly 70% hands-on coding and 30% mentoring, designing, and guiding architecture—playing a crucial role in modernization, performance, and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead platform modernization of an 8-year-old multi-service architecture, introducing scalable, modular, and cloud-native design principles.
• Architect and evolve the form-flow-based offer-matching system powering integrated financial services and dynamic user experiences.
• Oversee a React/Redux SPA using Web Components and Shadow DOM for modularity and performance optimization.
• Lead the evolution of a Node.js-based API layer (100+ endpoints) — incorporating caching, circuit breakers, and 3rd-party integrations, with ongoing migration to C#/.NET microservices.
• Introduce AI-driven capabilities within the platform, such as:
• Intelligent chatbots and self-service tools for enhanced user engagement.
• AI-powered observability and anomaly detection to improve platform reliability.
• Predictive data analytics and optimization recommendations for offer-matching performance.
• Drive adoption of best engineering practices, including CI/CD automation, observability, code quality, and security controls.
• Provide technical mentorship and foster a culture of craftsmanship, continuous learning, and collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to ensure system scalability, reliability, and revenue impact.
• Guide the implementation of Scrum cadence and cross-team engineering structure.

What You’ll Bring

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years of experience developing and scaling enterprise-level platforms (MERN or similar).
• Architecture Expertise:
• Designed and scaled distributed systems or multi-service platforms with strong reliability and clear service boundaries.
• Proven ability to build modern, AI-augmented or automation-enhanced systems.
• Technical Mastery:
• Advanced knowledge of React, Redux, Web Components, Shadow DOM, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with Node.js microservices, REST APIs, caching layers, and 3rd-party integrations.
• Familiarity with C#/.NET and modern service orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS ECS, containerization, GitLab CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript internals (execution stack, event loop, async patterns).
