Our US-based client company is a leading provider of robot operations software, helping businesses with the integration of agentic AI and physical AI to enhance robot capabilities.

Work Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week. 9:00 - 5:00 EST/EDT

The Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated designer to help define the best experience for users at the exciting intersection of agentic AI and physical AI/robotics. This pivotal role will be responsible for creating intuitive user experiences for software to manage complex robotic systems, integrating cutting-edge AI technologies to create seamless and effective interactions between humans and robots.

This role involves tackling challenging design problems, from visualizing robot performance data to crafting intuitive interfaces to manage large numbers of robots around the world. You will have the opportunity to connect with users and will be collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to bring innovative solutions to life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Translate research insights into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for complex web and mobile applications, specifically focusing on robotics and AI integration.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and ensure design feasibility and implementation.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and technical constraints.
• Develop and maintain design systems and UI guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design solutions for complex B2B software products.
• Proven experience designing for AI-powered applications, demonstrating an understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in user interfaces.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse stakeholders.
• Outcome-oriented, strong work ethic, internally motivated and driven to win.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy experimentation with AI tools and workflows that redefine the design and product development process.
• Experience with solving problems in the physical world: atoms + bits.
• Prior work at early stage, venture-backed B2B startups are highly desired.
