Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to lead our digital marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in running organic and performance marketing campaigns in India, with expertise in managing both in-house teams and external agencies. You will oversee a team of 5-6 in-house employees and collaborate with external partners in performance marketing, creatives, and PR to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and engagement for our family app.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned for our high growth family platform targeting the Indian and Indian diaspora market globally.
• Organic Marketing: Lead content marketing, SEO/ASO, social media, and community engagement initiatives to build brand loyalty and organic growth.
• Performance Marketing: Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other relevant channels to drive user acquisition and retention.
• Brand Reputation/ORM: Monitor and manage brand reputation across online platforms, thus maintaining a positive brand image and building trust with customers.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an in-house team of 5-6 marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Agency Management: Oversee external agencies handling performance marketing, creatives, and PR, ensuring alignment with brand goals and campaign KPIs.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, adjust strategies based on data insights, and provide regular reports to leadership.
• Brand Positioning: Collaborate with product and content teams to ensure consistent messaging that resonates with our target audience in India.
• Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, optimizing spend for maximum ROI across organic and paid channels.
• Market Research: Stay updated on digital marketing trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences in the Indian market to inform campaign strategies.

Requirements

• Skills:
• Proven expertise in running successful PPC / paid campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other digital channels.
• Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and social media strategies to improve brand awareness and organically acquire customers.
• Experience in managing and mentoring in-house teams and coordinating with external agencies. Proficiency in SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar), social media tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer etc) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar) and data-driven campaign management tools (Clevertap or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the ancestry, astrology, or community-driven app space is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced certification in digital marketing is preferred.
• Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, with a hands-on approach and adaptability to evolving priorities.
