Position Summary
The Head of Veterinary Marketing is the strategic lead responsible for growing engagement and adoption across Synergy Pet Group’s veterinary-facing brands. This role requires expertise in SaaS GTM strategies, an obsession with funnel performance, and a passion for the veterinary community.
You'll drive the strategy and execution of marketing programs that add pipeline, increase velocity, and mitigate churn. You’ll own positioning, market insight, product marketing, and churn reduction initiatives. You’ll partner closely with product, sales, and customer success to bring ideas to market and refine strategies. Your key priorities will be driving pipeline, accelerating conversion, and reducing churn across SPG’s veterinary brands: Shepherd, Pet Assure, and DVM Galaxy.
This role reports to the VP of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep audience insight into veterinary professionals to inform messaging, positioning, and segmentation strategies that support message-market fit.
- Own go-to-market strategy and lead cross-functional launches that accelerate adoption and reduce churn across SPG’s veterinary platforms.
- Run full-funnel campaigns and always-on programs that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Own the marketing roadmap for the veterinary vertical, prioritizing high-impact work that aligns with growth goals.
- Ensure consistency in brand and messaging across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Track performance and optimize strategy in collaboration with Sales, Product, and Customer Care, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
Key Metrics for Success
- Veterinary Engagement & Activation – Growth in platform adoption, usage, and account activation across Shepherd and Pet Assure.
- Lifecycle Performance – Improvements in funnel conversion rates from acquisition through retention, including onboarding, feature adoption, and upsell.
Qualifications

- 5+ years of SaaS marketing experience, including audience ownership and product marketing for technology-driven products.
