TITLE: Instructional Designer
ANTICIPATION DURATON: 6 Months
LOCATION: Remote
We are looking for an instructional designer to create and curate content as well as manage the full life cycle of the curriculum creation process by working with instructional designers, curriculum writers, product managers, video specialists, and marketing teams to create engaging, appropriate, and effective learning experiences. Additionally, the instructional designer will partner with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, including subject matter experts, managers, external organizations, and internal teams to help develop learning solutions across multiple modalities.
Currently, instructional designers on the team write scripts (for filming), create and edit new educational content (which is often, but not always, about Google Applications including word processing docs, spreadsheets, slides, etc.), develop outlines, create rubrics, design lesson plans, write survey questions, design crosswalks across educational materials, build workshop presentations, make gifs, build teacher support resources, refresh curriculum, share video feedback, develop educational guides, and share input on marketing/promotional asset development.
We’re looking for someone with instructional design experience, the ability to learn new products and technologies, and strong writing, communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with the ongoing advancements of AI tools and concepts in the technical landscape — understanding how AI is influencing different specializations in our catalog (including certifications), how to keep content updated to prepare learners accurately, and which new AI tools or features should be introduced to our learners. While internal SMEs will provide technical support, we are seeking a technically minded instructional designer who proactively monitors these evolving trends as part of their role.
