We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to primarily focus on further building out our API and dApp integrations. The ideal hire will develop high performing code and infrastructure as we scale to handle larger betting volumes and more markets on SX Bet. We’re looking for someone to help take the SX ecosystem to the next level as we prepare for the next surge of growth in the upcoming months.

We've looking for someone to help build out our leading dApp, SX.Bet, primarily focusing on scaling and improving our API as well as helping to develop integrations with 3rd party protocols in the prediction market and betting space.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the development of SX.Bet's backend - primarily focusing on API and microservice optimizations as well as 3rd party integrations.

Build clear and succinct technical documentation for interacting with SX Network from a developer's perspective.

Stay at the edge of the space by constantly researching cutting-edge features and technology trends in blockchain/dApp development.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years experience working as a backend software engineer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js,
• Experienced using Cloud Services, preferrably AWS.
• Worked with both NoSQL and SQL (Mongo, Postgres)
• Worked on and scaled distributed applications using modern architectures.

NICE TO HAVES

• Previous experience working in Web3.
• Experience with Golang.
• Experience with Ably or other pub/sub services.

Full-remote work set up, with the only exception that you have to be online and available to collaborate between our Toronto/ET working hours (9am-5pm) and take part in our quarterly meetups in Toronto, Canada.
